I'm being a true Mets fan. Pessimism. Optimists see the glass as half full. Pessimists root for the Mets. The streak was nice while it lasted. Sure, it would have been nice to sweep the Nats, but then came Livan Hernandez and his own legal trouble (that goes beyond an investigation into the authenticity of his birth certificate) throwing his Bugs Bunny fastball and the streak went the way of the Dodo.
Then it's off to Philly and reality sinks in. They can look good facing the Diamondbacks and Washington, but go up against a real team and it's another beatdown.
Suckage, here we come.
